(Surprised? or have your own question?) 14. Reform Judaism is older than Conservative Judaism. Reform Judaism was the first of the modern interpretations of Judaism to emerge in response to changed political and cultural conditions brought about by the Emancipation. The first regular synagogue established on a Reform basis was the Hamburg Temple which was opened in 1818. Neo Orthodoxy and Conservative Judaism began in part, as a "counter reformation" in response to Reform Judaism. (Encyclopedia Judaica, Volume 4. p. 23). Next question:
